Fr Kentenich’s letter to Josef Fischer on 24 July 1916
“You can find an indication of how the inner renewal or extension, or even re-building of our shrine fits into our system of plans in my brief at that time (Programme). I think it corresponds completely with the wishes of our soldier Sodalists to perpetuate their thanks in such a tangible way. Or doesn’t it? Two funds will have to be started:
- 1. An Admirabilis Fund,
- 2. Sodality Gratitude Fund (for the shrine) ...”
