The 18 October 1914
Fr Kentenich summarized the content of the talk he gave on 18 October 1914 in the programmatic sentence with which he headed the text:
“Programme: Hastening the development of our self-sanctification and hence the transformation of our chapel into a pilgrimage chapel.”
With this talk, Fr Kentenich’s decision entered history. It also marks the start of his work and observation of the life it engendered. As a result this date became a historical turning-point in his life and that of his work.
