A Sodalist’s essential task is to be apostolically active. In order to find a form for it that awakens the imagination and strongly motivates the will to action, we set up a programme last year. It is: A movement for the moral and religious renewal of Germany has to go out from our Sodality chapel after the example of Ingolstadt. The work of self-sanctification took and still takes the form of ‘contributions to the MTA’s capital of grace’ for the above purpose. …

If this spirit is preserved in our Sodalists, and if they continue to work in the same direction as priests, we will have achieved our high-sounding goal.

Yet now my plans reach further: Vallendar must really become a second Ingolstadt ...

Vallendar must remain the focal point – by this I mean our chapel with the MTA. People change, the chapel remains. You will be well advised to cultivate love for our shrine in yourself and others.
